Cultural competence strategies of geographical, ecological and geoecological education

The school is headed by Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Natalia Vinokurova, a member of the RAS Commission for the Study of the Scientific Heritage of Academician N.N.Moiseev, and of the Scientific Council on Environmental Education under the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Education.

The goal of the scientific school is to study the theoretical and methodological foundations of the problems of interaction between man and the environment at various territorial levels and shaping the culture of nature management as a key factor in the formation of sustainable development territories.

Objective: to develop the theory, methodology and methods of geographical, geoecological and environmental education in the context of cultural and coevolutionary paradigms of the development of modern education.

The activities of the scientific school have been repeatedly supported by grants from the Russian Humanitarian Science Foundation, the Russian Foundation for Basic Research: organization and holding of the international scientific and practical conference "Environmental Education for Sustainable Development: theory and pedagogical reality", the research project "Research of the theoretical foundations of the development of eco-oriented life of schoolchildren in the cultural landscape".
