Synthesis, reactivity and application of organometallic compounds

The school is headed by Igor Fedyushkin, Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Professor, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Head of the Research and Education Center "Chemistry of Molecules and Materials".

The school's area of focus: synthesis and study of the structure and reactivity of coordination compounds; obtaining new types of organic metal derivatives with a unique reactivity towards organic compounds.

The activities of the scientific school have been supported over the years by grants from the Russian Foundation for Basic Research: the projects "Acenaften-1,2-diimine derivatives of rare earth metals: one- and two-electron reductants for chemical synthesis", "Reactivity of group 13 derivatives containing a metal-metal bond and a redox-active ligand towards small molecules". The project "Biocompatible polymer materials for medical applications" was included in the state assignment of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation.
